Gauteng MEC for Education, Sport, Arts, Culture, and Recreation, Matome Chiloane has officially launched the Iber Cup International Football Tournament.
Scheduled to take place from 12-16 December the Iber Cup will attract elite youth teams from across the globe, creating a vibrant celebration of talent, competition, and international camaraderie.
“With scouts from top-tier clubs in attendance, this tournament offers young South African players a once-in-a-lifetime chance to showcase their skills and catch the eyes of global football powerhouses.”
According to the department, the official launch of the Iber Cup International Football Tournament is underway attended by MEC Motome, Head of Department Mr. China Mashinini, Michael Bender (CEO of Iber Cup), and International CEO Mr. Filipe Rodriguez.
“South Africa is ready to showcase its passion for football on the global stage, reaffirming its status as a premier destination for international sports. The Iber Cup promises to leave a lasting legacy in the nation, resonating well beyond the final whistle,” said the department.
